Measles cases are rising in London

Please make sure your child is up to date with their vaccinations and book an appointment at the surgery to catch up on missed doses. Two doses of the MMR vaccine can provide lifelong protection against measles.

Measles is more than just a rash. 1 in 5 children with measles will need hospital treatment. It can cause serious complications and in rare cases can be fatal.

If you are unsure if you or your child are up to date with your vaccinations, please contact the practice.

Getting your test results

If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you. You often will have a follow-up slot booked already.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

Normal results requiring no or no immediate action will usually have a comment by the clinician who has viewed them (e.g. ‘immune’/’stable’/’improved’) to help you.

We will only give test results to the patient who had the test. Reception staff are allowed to tell you that a result has been marked as normal or not requiring action, but they cannot discuss them in any more detail than this. If the doctor has asked to see you after the test has been done, please keep your appointment, even if the result is showing as ‘normal’ via your medical record viewer.

Do not be alarmed if you are told that the doctor wants to see you to discuss your results – this does not normally mean that there is something seriously wrong!

We will always tell you if we need to see you urgently.
